One of the fastest-growing cities in Iowa, Waukee boasts nationally recognized schools, safe neighborhoods and an abundance of attractions. There are numerous new dining and shopping areas, as well as a more quaint downtown area. Waukee real estate consists of some established neighborhoods and new-construction homes of all sizes.
Waukee has 15 parks, 23 miles of recreational trails and a community center. It is also home to the Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course, an IMAX theater, breweries and more. Numerous events and festivals are spread throughout the year.
Like the city itself, the Waukee Community School District is one of the fastest-growing districts in the state. There are currently nine elementary schools, two 6th/7th-grade middle schools, two 8th/9th-grade middle schools and two high schools.
