Located in Central Iowa, Des Moines is the capital and most populous city in the state. The Des Moines metropolitan area is comprised of over 655,000 residents and is rapidly growing due to the abundance of jobs, cultural offerings and high quality of life. In 2021, US News named Des Moines the 13th best place to live in the United States. The city is a major insurance hub and has a sizable financial and publishing business base, as well.

Along with Des Moines, Ashlee has strong ties to Norwalk. She is originally from the city and is part of the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce.
