Pleasant Hill is a vibrant community located just east of Des Moines. Situated at the intersection of the US Highway 65 bypass and Iowa Highway 163, the city is experiencing rapid growth due to its prime location for both residents and local businesses. Most of Pleasant Hill is served by the Des Moines Public School District, but newer portions of the city are served by the Southeast Polk Community School District. Southeast Polk Junior High School and Senior High School are both located in Pleasant Hill.
